With a whisper of the sacred words, a specter of hatred manifests. Dark consecration in the flesh. Bidding welcome to the new lords of this world. Beset we were, centuries of plague. Famine, emaciated the land, the unborn enslaved, the dead furnace fodder, cloaked the sun and hidden the stars. The mouths of the old gods gave sustenance no more. Impotent, at last they stood before the ravenous hoard. A blinded triarchy of acolytes professed the ways of ritual: sacrifice to summon the rains, by mother the child is slain. An offering of earthly possessions, regression to the state of beast, orgiastic frenzied rites, purging of the mind. Lifeless consummation, child and animal are known. At last, the dark clouds descend, the maddening light of His countenance appears. A gift of searing rain, a downpour dissolving devotees. The land laid bare, answered the prayer.

I can't formally retract the erroneous 2.0 I gave this back in 2018, but I can say that, five years on, I've come around to this record in a big way. Quality death metal with great atmosphere without being "atmospheric" (read: boring) metal. Diabolus in Muzaka
Suffocating black metal in the Swedish style that mercifully throws in a bit of melody to save the listener from total darkness. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 29, 2017
Tempering death metal riffs with goth rock melodies, the Finnish outfit deliver a commendable, unsuspectingly catchy slab of fury. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 29, 2023
